Explanation of The Parable of Sower
The parable of the sower is a lesson that teaches that when the farmer scatters his four seeds in different areas the seed has different out comes to the others, this refers to the four different types of people reacting to the gospel “the word of the kingdom”. The hard ground represents those who are burdened with sin, hearing but not understanding the word of lord. The stony ground represent the reaction of a man who believes in the lord until problems arise, his faith disappearing quickly. The thorny ground represents those who receive the word of the lord but hearts are burdened with temptations. The good ground portrays who hears, receives and understands the word of the lord, the only man who is truly saved. “a mans receptions of Gods word is determined by the condition of his heart”.
