Three Healing Miracles of Jesus
Mark 1: 23-28
Jesus came upon a man with an impure spirit. The satanic spirit questioned Jesus on his presence of being on earth. “Come out of him!” after speaking to the impure spirit, Jesus shook the spirit out of the man. Amazing people with his gifts of expelling impure spirits, word of Jesus spread fast through the whole region of Galilee.
Mark 3: 1-5
Jesus healing a man on the Sabbath. Attending a synagogue- Jewish religious practice- Jesus noticed a man with shriveled hands, many were looking to accuse Jesus- watching closely on seeing if they would heal the man. He spoke to the man asking him to stand up in front of the crowd. “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” Jesus asked the gathered crowd to which he got no response. Jesus being deeply angered and distraught at the stubbornness of the men. He healed the man. “stretch out you hand” and as he did his hand was fully repaired.
Mark 7: 31-37
Jesus healing the deaf and mute man. During the time of Jesus preaching the word of the Lord, Jesus came by a death and mute man in the region of Decapolis. Brought to him by people of the town was a death man who could hardly talk, begging him to place a hand on the man’s head. Jesus took the man aside from the crowd. Placing his fingers in the man’s ears, then spitting and placing his finger on the man’s tongue. Jesus spoke up to the heavens “ephphatha” (“be opened”). And as so the man’s tongue loosened and his ears opened, the man being healed from his curses.
